Spindle Books is an advanced reading program designed to optimize language learning. Developed by iPortfolio Inc., this app applies a proven learning principle to make children bilingual. With its innovative "5-step multi-dimension reading" method, users can experience a fivefold increase in learning intensity.
In the first step, Spindle Books eliminates learning tension by revealing key words in a book through fun games. Then, in step two, users cover the text and listen to a native speaker read aloud, allowing them to guess the story. Step three encourages immersion in the story without interruption, with the freedom to use eBook features as needed. Step four stimulates children's speaking skills by listening to and imitating the voice of a native speaker. Finally, in step five, users naturally learn the rules of the language through review games.
Spindle Books requires certain permissions to run smoothly, including optional access to the microphone for recording functions in steps three and four, and the option to save pictures from the album for profile photo registration. While certain features may not work without these optional permissions, the app can still be used.
For users of Android 6.0 or lower, individual permission selection may not be available. It is recommended to check with the device manufacturer for operating system upgrades. Even after an upgrade, existing app permissions will not change, so users will need to delete and reinstall the app to reset access privileges.
To withdraw permissions, users can go to Settings > Applications > Spindle Books > Permissions and disable the microphone or save functions.
